Digital Media Specialist

JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision responsible for managing marketing, advertising and promotional activities at a company or organization. Takes steps to measure, enhance, and enrich the position and image of a company through various goals and objectives. Performs various clerical and office tasks and related work as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement digital media campaigns aligned with BJCTA’s goals.
  • Create and manage digital content for websites, blogs, social media, and other platforms. Ability to create visually appealing marketing materials.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies. Manage and optimize social media channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. Capture and process quality images and videos for marketing, social media, and other digital platforms.
  • Utilize editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro) to enhance and finalize images and videos.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital media trends and technologies.
  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO)
  • Coordinate with communications department and other BJCTA departments to ensure brand consistency.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance using ROI and KPIs as specified by Marketing & Communications Manager.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field

QUALIFICATIONS

experience preferred; must successfully demonstrate knowledge and skill in interpretation of Federal, state and local regulations, and oral and written communication.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Content Creator or similar role
  • Proficiency in media editing software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
  • Knowledge of web design and content management systems
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and ability to work under tight deadlines 

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bi-lingual skills preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
