MAX-DIRECT uses a smartphone App called TransLoc which includes features that give customers the ability to request a ride, obtain an estimated pick up time and track their bus in real time.

This 15-passenger shared ride service is available Monday – Friday from 8:00AM to 9:30AM and in the afternoons from 2:00PM to 3:30PM. Commuters can travel from Central Station into the city of Mountain Brook and back at the same cost as regular fixed – route buses, which is $1.50 per trip. Like all MAX buses, MAX – DIRECT Micro Transit is ADA accessible for customers having disabilities.

Reservations are required to ride MAX – DIRECT. There are several options available to customers interested in utilizing this service.

  1. -Download the free TransLoc App available on Apple and Android devices
  2. -Visit the website www.ondemand.transloc.com
  3. -Call a customer care associate for assistance (205)521-0101 and select prompt 5.
  4. -Reserve a trip on-site with a MAX Operator
