ADA Paratransit Advisory Committee
The ADA Paratransit Advisory Committee advocates for accessible transit services for individuals with disabilities. The Committee works closely with the Birmingham Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA) ADA Compliance Office to help ensure transportation is inclusive and accessible to all.
Committee Responsibilities
- Provides feedback on complaints and requests from persons with disabilities.
- Recommends programs, services, and facilities to improve accessibility.
- Suggests ways to improve compliance and inclusion in public services.
- Identifies opportunities for partnerships between government and private entities to better serve individuals with disabilities.
Quarterly Committee Meetings
- When: The third Wednesday in March, June, September, and December, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM.
- What: Review transit updates, upcoming projects, and address questions, comments, and complaints with BJCTA staff.
- How to Submit Comments: You can submit written comments during meetings, through email at ada@bjcta.org, or submit comments online.
- Where: MAX Transit Operations, Conference Room, 3105 Reverend Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd., Birmingham, AL 35205
