Learn what you need to know to bring your bike on a MAX Transit Bus

Loading Your Bike
For rider's convenience, MAX Transit offers bicycle transport. Cyclists are reminded that while MAX encourages bike transit commuting, the safety and comfort of all passengers is of the utmost importance and care should be exercised when riding, parking and carrying bicycles. Courtesy and alertness on the part of the cyclist will ensure a pleasant ride for everyone. Click the link below for printable brochure.
STEP 1

Wait for the bus to make a complete stop and tell the operator that you need to load your bike.

STEP 4

Load your bike on the available rack space.

STEP 2

Tell the operator you need to load your bike.

STEP 5

Pull the tire hook out and secure the bar on top of the front tire.

STEP 3

Squeeze the handle on the top rack and gently lower the rack.

STEP 6

Your bike is now secure. Don't forget to take your valuables with you.

Unloading Your Bike
Follow these same steps to unload your bike.  Be sure to fold  the rack back to its original position if the rack is empty.
