BJCTA MAX Transit Sets Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Participation Goal for Federal Fiscal Year

The Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA) has established a proposed overall goal of 11.2% for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation for Federal Fiscal Years 2026-2028. This goal is based on the anticipated availability of federally assisted contracting opportunities, historical DBE participation, and the relative availability of ready, willing, and able DBE firms for the types of projects expected in FY 2026 (October 1, 2025 –September 30, 2026).

The proposed DBE goal and information about BJCTA’s DBE Program are available for public inspection at the address listed below, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM:
