BJCTA appoints new board members

The Birmingham Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA) Board of Directors swore in two new members into its Board of Directors on Thursday, February 6, 2025. 

 

The City of Birmingham appointed Michelle Inman. Inman serves as an accountant for the Mayor’s Office.  

Inman also serves on the Board of Directors for ClasTran, a project of the Birmingham Regional Paratransit Consortium that offers transportation services to people with disabilities, people who are 60 years or older or residents in rural areas.  

 

The City of Vestavia appointed Mike Fliegel, a former assistant city attorney for Birmingham. Fliegel practiced law in Jefferson County for 40 years before retiring in 2023. 

 

Each BJCTA board member is eligible to serve two four-year terms.
