ADA Paratransit Advisory Committee

The ADA Paratransit Advisory Committee works to make transit services accessible for people with disabilities. The Committee partners with the Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA) ADA Compliance Office to make sure transportation is available and accessible to everyone.

What the Committee Does

  • Reviews feedback, complaints, and requests from people with disabilities
  • Suggests programs, services, and facilities to improve accessibility
  • Recommends ways to better follow ADA rules and include everyone in public services
  • Finds opportunities for government and private groups to work together to better serve people with disabilities
