The 2024 Transplant Games will present a 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from approximately 5:00am to 2:00pm near the City Walk area. This event should impact the Magic City Connector, #20 Kingston, #23 North Birmingham, and #40 Fairmont. Those routes that will be affected will use the following detours:ROUTE (S)
Magic City Connector
-Southbound
• Connector buses will utilize short 20th Street North as end of line
• Continue to Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd
• Right on Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd to 22nd Street North
• Right on 22nd Street North to 6th Avenue North
• Right on 6th Avenue North to 20th Street North
• Left on 20th Street North and regular route
-Northbound
• Continue 20th Street North to Short 20th Street North
• Short 20th Street North will be the end of the line until the event has concluded
#23-North Birmingham and #20 Kingston (Outbound)
• Continue from the Intermodal on 18th Street North to 5th Avenue North
• Right on 5th Avenue North to Carraway Boulevard
• Left on Carraway Boulevard and continue Carraway Boulevard until regular route
#20 Kingston (Inbound)
• Continue inbound to Carraway Boulevard
• Left on Carraway Boulevard to 6th Avenue North
• Right on 6th Avenue North to 17th Street North
• Left on 17th Street North to Central Station
#23 North Birmingham (Inbound)
• Continue inbound on Carraway Boulevard and continue Carraway Boulevard to 6th Avenue North
• Right on 6th Avenue North to 24th Street North
• Left on 24th Street North and regular route
#40 Fairmont (Outbound)
• Continue outbound to Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd.
• Left on Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd to 16th Street North
