MAX Transit spotlights Alicia Wright in observance of Women’s History Month!

MAX spotlights Alicia Wright in observance of Women’s History Month! Learn how Alicia overcomes challenges in her role and her goals for the future.

What does your work consist of?

I handle all applications for paratransit service, and I handle complaints concerning discrimination against people with disabilities.

Why are you passionate about the work that you do?

I love helping others, especially someone that’s in need.

How are you challenged in your field/industry?

My challenges are getting riders adapted to how our service works and understanding policies and procedures.

How do you overcome your challenges?

I continue to have a positive mindset, communicate with customers and co-workers, and ask for help if needed.

How is being a woman working in your role unique?

I believe I am the youngest woman to work in my position. I am living proof that no matter how old you are or what degree you have, experience can go a long way.

What is your vision for the future?

I plan to retire from MAX and start my own transportation business.

I am en route to success!
